Happy New Year everyone, with a new year comes new and exciting adventures, like blogging. I am 35, and have been married to my high school sweetheart Michael for going on 17 years in April. We have three wonderful and busy children. So here is a little about my family.

Brittany before her sophomore homecoming dance
Brittany just turned 16 this past year, she is a dancer at heart and has been dancing for 11 years and is on a national award winning competition dance team for 7 years now.

Kaylee trying on her new cheer outfit
Kaylee, 12 is my "wanna do it all" child. She has been dancing since she was 2, she has also been on competition dance team for 6 years, this past year she decided to try out for middle school cheerleading. She made the team which added more chaos to our already hectic schedule.

Stephen with the Power Team at his school
Stephen 8, is "Momma's boy" he enjoys playing basketball, baseball and soccer for our community rec league and he is also in the Cub Scouts.
|
Mike taking down some trees
My wonderful husband Michael, works full time, cuts trees for firewood (our own use and to sale) and is a Co-pack leader for our son's cub scout den.

Just me
Now what do I do? Some people call me "super mom", I think of my self as just "doing the best I can for my family" Three years ago I decided I needed a career change. I have been working as a pre-school teacher for 15 years. I went to work part-time at a local daycare and went back to college full time. Since that time I have received a certificate in health sciences, a certificate in phlebotomy and I will graduate in May with an Associate Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Since leaving my full time job and taking classes full time our normal schedules have been turned upside down. Not only do the girls have dance 4 nights a week, cheer 2-3 nights a week, cub scouts once a week, rec sports 2-3 nights a week, I have to find time to work, keep up a household and study. It has been difficult some days and I seem stressed to the max but I know it will be worth it in the end.
I almost for got part of our family, what rounds out a hectic household better then 2 cats and 2 dogs!

My direction for this blog right now is unclear, but something has been nudging me for several weeks to create it. Maybe my head is just too full and I need to let some of it out or maybe there is a bigger plan, only time will tell. For now I am going to share our families experiences, some recipes for healthy eating and just anything that pops in my head.
Thank you for stopping by and hope you decide to return.
Christina
